Why Does IronWiFi Exist?
Every WiFi connection is an identity event. The RADIUS and 802.1X infrastructure deciding who gets on a network is identity-security infrastructure — yet it's been treated as plumbing for two decades, while application-layer ITDR and identity-security tooling left it behind. That's where the breaches happen. IronWiFi exists to close that gap: cloud RADIUS built security-first, with identity threat detection and response built in instead of bolted on. We're a WBA OpenRoaming partner and a co-chair of the OpenRoaming Standards Group, contributing to the security profiles the federation runs on — so security improvements ship beyond our own platform.

Patent-Pending Technology
IronWiFi has filed eight U.S. provisional patent applications covering WiFi identity threat detection for 802.1X/RADIUS wireless authentication infrastructure, session-integrity attestation for federated roaming, captive-portal and insider-threat detection, and behavioral identity security for autonomous AI agents operating on enterprise networks. Our patent-pending technology applies Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) to wireless authentication — a category historically underserved by application-layer identity security tools.
