WiFi That Knows Who Registered
Cvent is one native integration partner. The same pattern (check the registration list at login, reject anyone who cancelled) works with Eventbrite or any system that can call our REST API. No shared password on a slide.
Log in with the Cvent confirmation number
The attendee already has a credential: the confirmation number in their Cvent email. The branded captive portal asks for email and that number. IronWiFi checks Cvent in real time.

Provision credentials from Cvent registrations
When Cvent accepts a registration it calls IronWiFi. We create the user, write the password into a Cvent custom contact field, and Cvent emails it in a scheduled message.

Exhibitor Tools That Keep Demos Off the Attendee Network

Isolated exhibitor SSID
Separate network from attendees, with client isolation so one booth cannot see another. Higher bandwidth than the guest splash.
Voucher codes for booth staff
Bulk-generate vouchers with the event duration, a data cap if you want one, and a device limit. Hand them out at exhibitor check-in.
Dedicated bandwidth
Group policies cap attendee speeds so a keynote stream does not starve a booth demo. Exhibitors get the higher tier.
Sponsor splash and paid booth WiFi
Put the exhibitor logo on the attendee captive portal. Offer a paid faster tier through Stripe when a booth wants more than the included allotment.

Here's what event organizers usually want to know
Do you only integrate with Cvent?
No. Cvent is one native integration partner, used here as the worked example. Eventbrite and other registration platforms connect through the IronWiFi REST API, webhooks, or Zapier using the same check-the-list-at-login pattern.
How does the Cvent integration work?
Cvent holds the registration list. IronWiFi decides who gets on the WiFi. Option A: attendees enter their email and Cvent confirmation number on the captive portal. IronWiFi checks Cvent live and grants access only when the status is Accepted or Visited. Option B: a Cvent webhook provisions an IronWiFi user and writes the password into a Cvent custom contact field so Cvent can email it. Option B also works on WPA-Enterprise. Cancelled, waitlisted, declined, and pending registrations are rejected. Cvent setup guide.
Do Passpoint and OpenRoaming work at events?
Yes. Passpoint lets returning or corporate devices join automatically with WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise, no splash page. OpenRoaming does the same for attendees whose carrier or identity provider is in the WBA federation. Both need Passpoint-capable access points pointed at IronWiFi RADIUS. The Cvent confirmation-number login itself is captive portal only.
What WiFi tools do exhibitors get?
An isolated SSID with dedicated bandwidth, client isolation so booth demos cannot see attendee devices, voucher codes for booth staff, and optional sponsor branding on the attendee captive portal. Paid booth WiFi can run through Stripe.
How fast can you get us up and running?
Pretty fast — most events are ready in 24-48 hours. You'll point your venue's access points to our servers, customize your splash page, and that's it. You're live.
What about outdoor events and festivals?
Absolutely — we work great outdoors. Our platform connects to any WiFi setup, including temporary outdoor deployments and those heavy-duty access points designed for festival crowds.
How many people can connect at once?
Our cloud handles 50,000+ simultaneous connections without breaking a sweat. The only real limit is your venue's physical WiFi hardware.
Can our sponsors have their own branded pages?
You bet. Create custom splash pages with sponsor logos, messages, and promos. We can even send sponsors detailed reports on how many people saw their brand.
How do people log in?
On a registration-gated event, email plus the ticket or confirmation number on a branded captive portal. For Cvent that is the confirmation number. You can also use social login, email, SMS, voucher codes, Passpoint profiles, OpenRoaming, or provisioned WPA-Enterprise credentials.
Can I get attendee data after the event?
Of course! Export everything — emails, demographics, engagement stats — as a CSV file. Drop it right into your CRM or email platform.
